## 📖 Overview
I have started to see what I have previously called my [[Taxonomy of Witnessing]] as part of a larger framework than just the format for creative critique that I have been playing with since [[2017]].
These ideas are underpinning the [[pedagogy|pedagogical]] [[framework]] of [[Performing Futures]] and the [[mental map]] for my own [[reflective practice]].

- [[2023-01-22]] @ 15:58 - Today while I was driving around [[Swan Valley]] I started to see what I was calling [[Taxonomy of Witnessing]] as a larger framework than just the [[critical response]] format that I have been playing with since [[2017]]. I think that it has the potential to be some kind of [[pedagogy|pedagogical]] [[framework]] or [[mental map]]. I'll write a brief sketch here so I can get back to processing [[source notes]]:
- The objects of this framework are:
- [[Core Values]] generate the energy, or life force
- [[Horizons]] are where you are oriented toward
- [[waypoints]] are places you visit along the way toward your [[horizons]]
- [[Moments]] are a point in time
- [[Golden Moments]] are [[moments]] that you cherish.
- The tactics of this framework are:
- Identifying [[measurable outcomes]], which can be a tool for taking [[qualitative]] and [[quantitative]] stock of your journey.
- These are best identified early
- These are best measured once you reach a [[waypoints|waypoint]]
- [[actions]] are the activities that you undertake day-to-day in service of reaching the next waypoint.
- [[Initiatives]] are a purposeful way of bundling your [[actions]], to make sure they are working together to get you to the next [[waypoints|waypoint]]
- A [[Project]] or an [[Output]] might be an [[initiative]], or may be broken down into smaller, manageable [[Initiatives]]
- [[Intentions]] are the [[moment]]-to-[[moment]] aspects of your journey that you are able to attend to on a [[day]], [[week]], and [[month]] basis
- [[journaling]] helps you to privately navigate the [[moments]] of your life, and are an ideal way to document your [[Intentions]] and [[actions]]
- [[critical reflection]] helps you to understand *your* [[Experiences]], [[Projects]], and [[Outputs]], check in with your [[Core Values]], and align you [[Intentions]] to your [[Horizons]].
- [[critical reflection]] might start off [[private]] but has the potential to be made [[public]] in the form of its own [[Project]] or [[Output]].
- [[critical reflection]] is driven by [[prompts]], and may take the form of:
- [[reflective dialogue]] (see [[Reflective Dialogue Template]]
- [[Evaluative Reflection]] (see [[Evaluative Reflection Template]])
- [[Reflective Practice]] (see [[Critical Reflection Template]])
- [[critical reception]] helps you to understand the *world around you*, including the [[Core Values]] and [[Intentions]] of others as witnessed in their [[Projects]] and/or [[Outputs]]
